The Key Word Reading scheme (better known as Peter and Jane books) were first issued in 1964. Written by William Murray, these books proved the most successful series of Ladybird books ever - and the books are still in print today.

This page features some of the actual artwork used to produce the original 1960s books.

Materials: gouache/water-colour on artist's board. Unless otherwise stated, the artwork (unframed) measures approx. 29cm x 20cm. As with any painting, it is best not to display the pictures in direct sunlight.
