The Key Word Reading scheme (better known as Peter and Jane books) were first issued in 1964. Written by William Murray, these books proved the most successful series of Ladybird books ever - and are still in print today.

The artwork displayed on this page is the actual artwork used to produce the 1970s version of the books - which is still found in the books on sale today!.

Materials: gouache/water-colour on artist's board. Unless otherwise stated, the artwork (unframed) measures approx. 29cm x 20cm. As with any painting, it is best not to display the pictures in direct sunlight.
